Mt Grace Red Fire Meeting

Wednesday Jun 6, 2012, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Dear Friends:

Please give this email a careful read.

You may not be aware that the Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust was responsible for enabling Red Fire Farm to move back to Montague thus ensuring that 122 acres would remain as farmland for the future.

Now Mount Grace is launching a project to make farms and farming affordable for future farmers. A series of activities centered at Red Fire Farm are planned to highlight Mount Grace’s work beginning with the Strawberry Soiree dinner on June 16 which will be served right in the strawberry patch on Meadow Road. We hope you will be able to attend as all proceeds will benefit the affordable farms project.

More importantly we need some light volunteer work to make these Montague activities happen; you will not have to spend a lot of time. If you have a few hours to spend and would like to help with future Red Fire events to benefit Mount Grace, please plan to attend an initial meeting of volunteers on Wednesday, June 6 at 6:00 pm. We will meet at 181 Meadow Road in Montague Center, which is directly across from Red Fire farm. Signs on Meadow Road will be posted to let you know where the meeting will take place.

This will be a simple easy way to give back to our town. I hope you will be able to attend.
