Turners Falls -gfld

Any folks on here know of the time line for the repave job. A job that SHOULD have been done before the bridge by the Farren was closed. I took my old dude to an appt. last friday and got hung for over 25 mins. Thank goodness a call to his doctor held his appt. And Gfld wonders why people go north, south or east to shop. At least you can get there and PARK without paying. Thanks, ED

I think the repave job is scheduled for Nov. 4 or 5. Steve Ellis announced it at a recent Selectboard meeting, but he also said that the grinding would happen on 10/22, so he was off on that. He's been talking to folks in the Greenfield DPW, since clearly this work is a problem for Montague. I expect this may come up at the SB meeting on Monday. Maybe your old dude should watch, or stream it later from MCTV web site. Or you could try calling Greenfield DPW and see what they say. If you find out more, be sure to tell us what you learn .... thanks!
