i still havent found any maps of the plains but I have seen a few topo maps of the area. I"ll just have to try and make one of my own to the best of my ability (with the help of my gps), thanks for the leads, much oblidged. Will share any future findings as they come.

Mass Wildlife website has a listing and maps of the state reservations. The one for the plains is a topo and shows the roads.. Hope this gives you a starting point. Not sure where locally you can get topo maps.

I don't have a copy in my archives, but I believe the 1936 survey of the US Geodetic maps did have all those roads in the largest pitch pine forest and blueberry haven, not to mention the turtles..., many of which I travelled on maybe 50 years ago. You can go on line and download those and other maps.

Check with Mass wildlife . Maybe the Game Wardens office by the Montague Fish Hatchery. Good luck in your search..

Does anyone know where I might locate a map of the trails on the Plains? I have been making one of my own with my gps maping, but a paper map would be greatly valued to me.
