Town wide pay and classification study!

patrick Usually people will stop in on their way to a show, though, not after. Once the show ends it's time to go home. We never see much after-show traffic at any of my shops, even in Northampton when the Iron Horse gets out at 9:30 and we're open till 11:00.

Ya I'm sure they would IF any body dropped a couple bucks . I was getting food at Subway a while back, had to park out in the lot behind the burrito place. The Shea got out as we were headed back and I kinda sttod and watched the traffic. I saw NOT one person hit ths shops. Steady stream of cars down the Ave and 3rd st.. Just saying..

Town wide pay and classification study!

patrick Newbie, as a guy who owns several retail shops, I can tell you that nothing helps bring customers into town more than a theater or other entertainment venue. I'm sure the struggling downtown businesses are more than happy to see small portions of their tax dollars go to help the Shea attract more people to our town.

While I'm on the subject - NRBQ play at the Shea on Thursday April 12th. You can ebter to win tickets to the show plus a gift card top the Rendezvous by going to Turn It Up!'s facebook page (www.facebook.com/turnitupmusic) and sharing the poster of the show on your own profile. Thanks.

Town wide pay and classification study!

Was able to watch a bit of the town meeting after we fixed my bud's brakes. Caught the Shea lady gettin a bit miffed when the older jent asked about the finances. That would have made me vote no. I wonder how long before they want more $$ for more lights. Again an outsider just stating HIS opinion..

We will see what happens with that building. I don't think it needs to cost the town a dime, as long as it's not demolished.

> P.S. Good coverage of the meeting MVTV..
> I think your town meeting is going to be a good one to watch...

They usually are.

Town wide pay and classification study!

Mr. Abbandanzio was brought back as Town Administrator when the Executive Secretary resigned in 1997. You're right, it's time for someone new. According to the background information, this study is supposed to take place every 5-7 years but it hasn't.

If anyone whose not a Town Meeting Member wants to see the whole packet, it can be found here: http://montaguematte...-meetings/040412-stm

The powers that be cannot seem to ever update the Town Website in a timely fashion.

Town wide pay and classification study!

Time to change leadership in your town. I have been following this site pretty closely lately and it seems that there are only a few things that seem to be important to a certain element. The arts ( Shea ) and anything with ART in it and spending $$ as foolishly as possible. Was in the village last nite and we were watching the meeting on MCTV and see that the old Cumbies bldg in now the towns. Another money pit for you folks to sponser. I just thank my lucky stars that I don't live in Montague .. Again just MY lowley opinion.. P.S. Good coverage of the meeting MVTV.. I think your town meeting is going to be a good one to watch...

Town wide pay and classification study!

mark2 $30,000 for a study. This town loves pissing away money on studies. Maybe we should do a study about why montague loves paying for studies. And last but not least $25,000 to prepare the school for a "maybe" buyer is just plain stupid. I wonder how much money we have left in our snow removal budget after this winter. Hopefully that won't be re used for something other than it's intended purpose. Like a study.
