Shadow Puppet show Sunday 7pm Montague Farm

The Montague Farm Zendo Puppeteers are performing a free shadow puppet show upstairs at the Maezumi Institute (177 Ripley Road off W. Chestnut Hill in Montague) on Sunday, Sept 20 at 7pm.

During this Year of the Ox, we have been performing the tale, "The Taming of the Ox," every few months, each time using different puppetry and story techniques. This will be our third version, which weaves together 5 personal interpretations of the story.

Please join us for this evening of shadow puppets and illuminated beings, low tech-spectacles of light, overhead projections, and other mesmerizing sights, all accompanied by live music!

The performance will last about 25 minutes and is suitable for all ages, though one of the narrative threads is about a threatened suicide, told in the poetic language of Wendell Berry.
