VOTE TODAY

Congrats to the newcomers and thanks to Jeff for your service, and for your gracious concession.

I would like to remind everyone that if the perception that Jeff drove Nadine away was part of their decision-making process, I sincerely hope you will take an equally close look at Joyce Phillips's seat when it comes up for re-election. Unlike speculation about Nadine's motives for quitting, Carl Ladd *explicitly* stated in his resignation letter that Joyce's outrageous accusations of professional wrongdoing were a clear factor in his early departure. I think it'd be an awful shame if the idea here is that we are all hopeful that Misty will be able to get along well with Joyce and make potentially non-productive nice, and that'll make us all feel better. Much like what Jeff has been accused of, Joyce has an undeniably generous side and valuable knowledge base, but totes around some extreme deficits in the collegial arena. So please keep that in mind. And let's hold Misty's feet to the fire and remind her this isn't Joyce's School Committee. It's ours.

It looks like Jeff's out. I hope the newcomers are all that their supporters hope they will be. I wish them luck, and I hope they're ready to hit the ground running ....

VOTE TODAY

Mark1 Someone involved with the Lyons/Cogswell campaign posted a pic on FB with these vote tallies:

Singleton - 453
Lyons - 821
Cogswell - 689

Nothing on Kelley or any other seats. I'm not quite clear on who was running for what, but it seems Jeff is out if this is accurate.

Good luck to the newbies. They'll certainly need it. Running is a hell of a lot easier than serving.

And thanks to Jeff for trying like hell to get things on a good path.

VOTE TODAY

mik Just left the Montague Center polling station. The number was at 382 when I left, which means 191 voters (two ballot sheets each), with a line of six people at the door as I left.

Had to go to Turners and there is a tent set up at the school in Millers.. Not sure who tho not being a voter. There were signs as well near it. Saw a few more of Jeff's signs than last week. Write ins are the true longshot . Should be interesting all the same..

VOTE TODAY

Last I saw, hardymum, 3 of the SC candidates were sitting/standing outside the Precinct 1 polling station at the fire house. Jeff S is out on Old Sunderland Rd (someone was good enough to bring him a chair) talking to folks on their way in or driving by and Misty (and maybe the write-in candidate also) have a little booth set up at the entrance to the parking lot. Apparently Precinct 1 is going to be the swing precinct. It's nice to finally live somewhere where my vote counts.

I'm certain any or all of those 3 will be happy to talk to you about their views. And one of them, Jeff S, has actual realworld concrete ideas.
