SEEK REFERRALS Re: STORM DAMAGE

Just returned from a week out-of-town. Though I had warning from tenant and friends, I'm kind of in shock from the amount of damage on my relatively small piece of land.

SEEKING EXCELLENT REFERRALS FOR:
Companies that haul away huge fallen trees (30-to-50-foot sections of tall pines that came down) + piles or branches & brush = some on open land, some in light woods.

Companies that cut huge trees, and that can do so safely 10 feet away from a house, without damage to said house. In other words, super-competence, along with excellent insurance that they don't mind my verifying.

I need to get the topping or removal of tall pines right next to the house done ASAP, to minimize risk during future weather events like the one last week.

I know many companies do both kinds of work, since they go together, but am looking to get this very expensive work done as INexpensively as reality allows, without sacrificing quality! So it occurs to me that each of these projects involves different skills & equipment.

So I wonder if pulling, loading, & hauling the organic debris that is all over this land will be less expensive if it isn't done by the same folks who can get 100 feet up in or next to a tree and safely remove the top 60 feet of it.

Regardless, if anyone out there has positive experience with a anyone doing ANY aspect of the work, I will gratefully appreciate your referrals!

AND....has anyone heard whether emergency or clean-up funds will be made available to individuals whose land and fauna have been significantly damaged? I'm not really in a position to add these expenses to an already challenging financial picture....

Thanks, everyone! I hope that all who are reading this came through the storm without damage, or with far less. And I remain grateful that the trees that fell here seem to have been Divinely guided to MISS my house, my tenant's car, and our garage. That, to me, is a miracle.
