Highland Park (Millers Falls) Pet Waste Notice
Patrons of Highland Park in Millers; please help us keep the park healthy by cleaning up after your pet. We are starting to experience considerable pet waste left behind, and this is a substantial health concern for others who use the park.....including kids who enjoy the facility on a daily basis.

Several towns on Cape Cod have negotiated with the utilites to stop using round up under powerlines for the rest of this year and possibly into 2012 because of concerns about health risks.

roundup on plains
I was walking my dogs along the powerlines at the plains today and discovered that the utility company is spraying roundup ( I think this is similar to agent orange ) under the powerlines. I am not sure if it is legal for them to do so.

Softball practice Has started in Montague Center
We have started a Coed over 30 Softball league in Montague Center. We are looking for more people interested in having a good time. You don't have to be an ace, just want to play. Until further notice practice and games will be at 6.30 in Montague Center ball field next to the elementary school. I have managed an over forty league before and we all had a good time, so come on down, 6.30 on Wednesday night. Bring your glove and if you have a bat bring that along also.
