Dog Owners Who Don’t Clean Up Poo
I live near a small, brick apartment building, at the start of L Street (odd side) and there is a family there that lets their big pitbull dog poop on everyone's yard without picking it up. I see them do this daily. This has been going on for a very long time. I have spoken with them about it and they refuse to pick up the poop. Other tenants in the building have even put up a sign on the main (outdoor) mailbox asking them to clean up the dog's mess and that didn't work either. There is so much excrement on the ground that there is not a single clean spot on the lawn. This is a health hazard, it smells and it's disgusting. Yet this family thinks that it is OK to continue to allow their dog to soil everyone's yard. When I have company stop by, they have to dodge piles of poo in order to reach my front door. I have called the police, animal control and on Tuesday I will call the Board of Health. I am not sure what other direction I can go in. What can I do to get them to clean up the mess?
