NIGHT-TIME GUNSHOTS? OR ARE THEY FIREWORKS?
If it is 2am and you hear loud explosive bangs in is the rail yard cuppling trains OR Mordore. But the Bookmill nextdoor neighbors were shooting off rockets red glare from July 1st to the 24th or so. Many large booms. Also heard gunshots close by one night in July and target practice in the afternoon.

A lot of times loud bangs/booms come from the east Deerfield train yard as they hook up the cars. Just saying

I think they were a combination of both I saw the fireworks it looked like they were from the area of the bookmill!

From our house on Taylor Hill, I would frequently hear what I thought was the Millers Falls Rod & Gun club. And, occasionally, I would also hear these gunshot-like noises during the night. Not sure what they were. One of the many beautiful things about living in the area is the peace and quiet and, while I support people to engage in legal and safe enjoyment of their pastime, it is usually quite annoying to hear repeated gunshots, whatever they are or wherever they come from.

I hears these sounds as well, they sounded like a shotgun to me, it was 2 am, an I agree it was ridiculous.

NIGHT-TIME GUNSHOTS? OR ARE THEY FIREWORKS?
While we didn't see any flashes or aerial displays, they sure sounded like fireworks to me. Now, I like a good fireworks display, but was not happy with the a--hole that was setting them off Sunday morning around 2:00 a.m. We had to get up and close windows in order to get any sleep.

First thing there is no hunting on Sundays in this state. Secondly only two animals that I know of can be hunted at night but only until midnight, and they would be coyote and raccoon both of which are out of season until fall. Also you legally can't discharge a firearm within 150 feet of a road and 500 feet from a house, dwelling or building in use. Normal hunting hours for all other animals in season is from 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset monday through Saturday.

NIGHT-TIME GUNSHOTS? OR ARE THEY FIREWORKS?
Hi, everyone~
I'm naive about things like hunting seasons, but now it is two nights in a row I have heard clusters of sounds that either might be firecrackers, or shots? They sound to me like they're coming from around Greenfield Road near the Book Mill; but I'm not great on sound-direction either.
Stopped soon after they started, this evening around 9:30pm....But LAST night the uproar of sound was at 1:45am...prolonged....was still going on as I popped my earplugs in to get to sleep.
Hard to imagine what = or how = anyone could hunt at 2am....
