Arts & Leaves this weekend!
Join us this weekend for Turners Falls open studio and downtown walking tour. There are some brand new exciting venues this year including the premier of a new permanent puppet theater with Strings Attached Marionettes, the grand opening of 2nd Street Baking Company and artful bathrooms at the new Rendezvous bar! Also National Geographic photographer, Michael Yamashita, will have a show and reception at Hallmark Museum. Of course your favorite stops are still on the tour plus wandering musicians will dazzle your senses. Check below for a sneak peak of the weekend’’s activities and venue times.

The premier curtain call is happening this weekend! We’’re launching a new and exciting theater venue in the Pioneer Valley - our own theater dedicated to puppets and "puppeteering"! Join us for some serious fun with Madison Cripps & his Strings Attached Marionettes. For two days we will be showcasing a variety of remarkable puppets and puppeteers. Artists include Madison Cripps, Marta Mozelle, and special guests from around New England. Included in this premier event will be puppet making workshops, gallery work of sculptor Tim de Christopher, a gift shop, and delicious refreshments.

The Rendezvous bathrooms are permanent installations by local artists Stephen Cahill & Cathe Janke. We will also be displaying paintings of famous figures of the 30s-50s that we discovered on the walls of the building while we were doing demolition. Snacks before 3pm, full menu thereafter. |

Spencer Peterman is always on the lookout for fallen trees rotting in the woods. He gets excited about that stuff. So do his customers. Hidden in these trees- especially the ones covered by moss and dirt-is wood disfigured by the beginnings of decomposition. Turning wood on a lathe produces strikingly unique bowls.
