Greasy Cuffs Song Tour: Zak Kirwin, Jamie Matson and Sasha Pearl are on their bicycles, with guitars, ukes, toy xylophones and tambourines in tow, circling around New England playing their sweet music, unplugged. Regularly solo performers, they have joined together for this tour to form one collective band, Greasy Cuffs Song Tour, taking turns as lead. Their first show is in Hudson, NY. Then they are gearing up, getting their thighs tuned up to ride, and taking off for a three week tour to Albany, North Adams, Brattleboro, Montague, Northampton, Boston, Providence, and ending in Zak's stomping grounds, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This tour is to promote love of life, and how music can inspire a good work out. They will be sweatin’ it out old school, up hills, across bridges, and parking their bike's in your mom’s driveway while they take a shower.

Hard Hats on display starting tomorrow!

We have several hard hats back from artists and will start to display them in storefronts in Greenfield starting tomorrow followed by storefronts in Turners Falls in June.  The hats will be auctioned off at our event on June 25th, 7 pm at the Shea Theater in Turners Falls. Check out these windows when you are in downtown Greenfield this month:

May 6-13: Greenfield Savings Bank lobby
May 13 – 21: Wilson’s
May 21 – 27: Design Nails
May 27 – June 3: World Eye Bookshop

A playful riff on the ongoing construction of the Gill-Montague Bridge, RiverCulture's “Under Construction” event will feature a live fashion show and live auction of one-of-a-kind hard hats designed by area artists, including Nina Rossi, Jack Nelson, Laura Herbert, Tony Polumbo, Rachel Teumim,  Fafnir Adamites, Daniel Brown, Donna Estabrooks, Louise Minks, Becky Caplice, Dick Little and many many others.   Live music, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and a late-night dance party are also on the evening’s schedule.

This is the perfect opportunity to “pass the hat” for RiverCulture’s behind-the-barricades work essential to a creating a connected and vibrant community.  If this is not the most talked about event of the year, we’ll eat our hats!

Contact Lisa if you are interested in volunteering, contributing silent auction items or sponsoring this event. She can also be reached at 413-230-9910.
