"Celestial Cafe"

Opening May 1 at Nina’s Nook: "Celestial Cafe" featuring three dimensional collage by Emily Goodwin.
Goodwin grew up in Protestant New England, but her intricate artworks have been inspired by Catholic and Latin American imagery. She often combines religious elements with packaging, mythic, and fairy tale iconography to make 3-dimensional collages which she calls "Veronica’s Icons" (after St.Veronica.) Subjects have included Costa Rican butterflies, St.George & the Dragon, and the three Saint Christina’s celebrated on July 24th.
A reception with the artist is planned for Thursday, May 16 from 5-8pm at Nina’s Nook, 125A Avenue A Turners Falls, MA. Hours are Wed-Th 4-6pm, Fri-Sat 1-6pm or by appointment: 413.834.8800.
