The Third Season of our
Locavore Deep Winter CSA
Eating locally can be a challenge in the wintry months. This year we’ll be storing away delicious root crops, cabbages, garlic and more, and sowing our greenhouses full with winter hardy greens to make it a little easier! Every two weeks in January, February and March we’ll bring things out to share with you! We’re partnering with the makers of some local products to incorporate them into the share as well, from Real Pickles sauerkraut to apples from local orchards. This year we’ll also have some frozen produce from the growing season!
Storage crops will make up roughly 1/3 of the value, greens another 1/3, and local products the last 1/3.
Vegetable shares are $250 for 6 distributions, every two weeks. Shares will be available on the Fridays of January 13th, 27th, February 10th, 24th, March 9th and 23rd.
Organic Egg Shares are also available for pickup at the same time.
Location for pickup: In Montague at the farm’s new packing barn cooler, shares ready after 1 pm on Fridays (172 Meadow Rd, Montague, MA).
