Opening Day May 5th
Thank you to the ten vendors that set up today and all the customers. And lets not forget to say thank you to the 8 Sheffield School students who played a lot of songs on the instruments they have been practicing on this school year. After the students left customers and vendors were chatting about how great it is to see the students having fun playing in front of a crowd. Steve Damon has promised to bring the students back to the market.

Vendor Parking
Hello Vendors,

Sorry for the form letter to everyone. Well who would have thought that in one year we would have grown 4 or 5 vendors to as many as 19 set-ups which also included community organizations? The market has extended so far done Avenue A that we are now on DCR, Department of Conservation and Recreation property.
The Great Falls Discovery Center which is a DCR building and ground’s responsibility has no problem with any vendor setting up under the trees with tables, chairs and canopies but do not want any vehicles in that area or parked on the side walk behind the trees. I believe this is a reasonable request.
If and when you arrive and the Market area is filled up please remember that we can go two deep on the grass area in front of the brick building and also along Second Street. Actually being closer to the building may allow some vendors to utilize the electric hook-up on the outside of the building.
Sorry for any inconvenience this my cause you but I think this is problem no one could have foreseen and not a real big deal. I will be more then willing to help any vendor carry there items from either the parking lot or street area to where they will be setting up. Just remember if you arrive very late has some vendors have, well after 3:00 pm, then, this sort of situation may occur.

Thank you for your patience and we are known very well as a friendly market. We will keep it that way.

Don Clegg

The market is really growing.
Have you been to the Great Falls Farmers Market this year? Well if you haven’t you might be missing a fun shopping experience and some fresh locally grown produce. The variety offered at the market has increased considerably and there have been as many as 19 vendors offering a wide selection.

The market has included the sale of fresh produce and a wide selection of plantings but has also offered crafts, hand bags and accessories made from plastic bags, homemade soaps and lotions, dried and fresh flowers, fabulous baked goods, fresh breads, lamb products, grass feed beef, fresh eggs, preserves and now herbal teas. Civic groups are always welcome to participate and have been on a regular basis.

The Great Falls Farmers Market is located on the corner of 2nd Street and Avenue A. in Turners Falls, MA, right next to the Great Falls Discovery Center. The market is held each Wednesday afternoon, rain or shine, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm through October 28th. Entertainment is frequently offered and there are new vendors almost weekly.

Stop by and check-out this growing market.
