Playgroup

Nurture your child’s social skills and school readiness at our weekly playgroup for preschoolers (older siblings are also welcome)! Opportunities for free and guided play. Montague Center Library. No registration is necessary. Please note: Playgroup happens outside of the library’s regular hours. We have special hours just for this program.
Starting Thursday, June 1st, Playgroup will move to the Carnegie Library in Turners falls, under the tent!

Toto the Tornado Kitten
Thursday May 25, 2023, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PMToto and his owner, author Jonathan Hall, who rescued Toto from the tornado in 2011, will visit for a special story hour under the tent, at the Carnegie Library.
Toto is the hero of two books and you will have a chance to pet him!
Proceeds from the sale of Jonathan & Toto’s books will go to the Friends of the Franklin County Dog Shelter.

MC Library Travel Series

During that time, he has successfully completed assignments in over 85 countries and flown over 2 million miles. He has worked with communities at risk on the front lines of healthcare and financial inclusion.

Ann Marie walked the Camino Portugues with her son in the fall of 2022, a trek almost a decade in the making. She will discuss her experiences, both rewarding and challenging, as well as the resources she used to plan the trip before leaving and while on the walk itself.
